Born and raised in Spruce Grove, Nathan played his minor hockey in Spruce Grove, one year of Midget AAA in St.Albert, and then went on to play in the W.H.L for the Regina Pats. He was drafted in the 11th round, 245th overall to the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1992. Nathan was team captain of the St. John’s Maple Leafs from 1997-2002 and won the Fred T. Hunt AHL League Memorial Award which honors the player best exemplifying the qualities of sportsmanship, determination and dedication to hockey - 2001/2002. Nathan then went on to play 260 games in the N.H.L with Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles and Boston. In his career he has played over 850 games during a 14 year professional career in the N.H.L and A.H.L that spanned Canada, United States, and Europe. Nathan now brings his passion and enthusiasm for the game as the Campus Director of Vimy Hockey at Vimy Ridge Academy School in Edmonton.
The Banquet is a key event in the tournament program. It is attended by all players and team personnel. Parents and other supporters are also welcome to attend.
The evening includes supper, a guest speaker and player awards such as top forward, top defenceman and tournament MVP. There is also announcement of the tournament All Stars.
Each team will receive 25 banquet tickets included with their registration. These tickets are intended for the players, coaches and other team personnel.

Please note that all tickets, i.e. the 25 team tickets plus any additional orders, will be given to team managers at the Manager Meeting on Wednesday January 18, 2017 for distribution.
